A Little More , and A Little Longer

Things from my livejournal (which I really don't use) that I felt like I should share, mostly just poems, nonrhyming poems too. Which makes me happy, I like non rhyming poems

Doctor How Do You Cure Emptiness

I've come to realize there's no cure for emptiness
For the throbbing and ever growing void
That threatens to devour us whole
Nothing will ever stich my heart once again
Nothing can tend the wounds that you've left
Raw, bleeding, open.
You can bury your hands in my chest
Try and find the pieces to this little game
And you can try and mend my bruises
But you'll never be able to put them together
Because they are jagged
And lost
Funny thing is nothing is left for you to cure
You already took it all and broke it down
You can't fix, what doesn't exist.

Dear, Most Recent Regret

Your words still manage to wrap a fist around my lungs
And to make my heart rip and bleed profusely
I can stand on the sidelines and see you grow happy
But im not promising that it won't hurt
Because ill be dying on the inside
Biting my quivering lip
Holding back the flooding tears
This is why I pulled away the first time
Knowing id never rest in your arms like id wish
Knowing that your scent would never envelop my thoughts
But I still stand here, like I've done so many times before
Ripping, breaking, watching
As you grow, move on, and find something better
That we can no longer offer.
Something that we could never offer.
